is something I’ve been known to do. Something that has been bugging me lately is this post from 2006 by Daniel Burka, the designer behind digg. While browsing through the first edition of CSS Cookbook, a book published in 2004, I see what the irritant is – Daniel’s post is essentially the same as Recipe 10.6 “Combining Different Image Formats.” I’m reasonably sure that Daniel was not aware of the previous work, and would have credited the person if he had known.

I’ve been playing with python enough over the past couple of months, long enough to kibitz, but by no means an expert. One plaudit to give and one complaint.

Plaudit: Feedparser and Beautiful Soup justify the price of admission all on their own.
