When you do what I do for a living, there’s no better day than launch day. Thanks to all the people who made it happen, and since we’re beta I think we all know our work has just begin. The article doesn’t mention that there were a couple of people who contributed greatly that weren’t in either Newton, MA or Ottawa, ON. Josh Strater, an Expedia employee living somewhere in Seattle, contributed greatly early on with the javascript. And Eli White, a good friend, was a big part of this project, though he didn’t stick around for launch. It was challenging (and the challenge isn’t over yet). The rest of the engineers’ names who did stick around:
- Jeff Alexander
- Jim O’Donnell
- Rob Voyer
- Mike Salib
- Yves Dagenais (ok, he’s a product manager, but a wannabe engineer)
If you’re interested, come here me speak at PHP-Quebec next Friday morning.
