These aren’t quite the most-dugg but not promoted stories – Digg’s API makes it difficult to exactly determine those. What I did was take my weekly “unpromoted list” and look up the current number of diggs (and ensure they weren’t promoted). It’s easy to make the case that these are by far and away the most popular stories on digg – the top story has 3000+ diggs without making the home page – which is both a great feat in itself and undermines most of the rhetoric about democracy coming from the digg “leadership” team.
